Motorcyclist killed on 405 Freeway in Carson

CARSON, Calif. (KABC) -- A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision on the northbound 405 Freeway in Carson early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred around 1:45 a.m. just north of Avalon Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

All but one northbound lane was shut down for the investigation. The CHP reopened all lanes shortly after 7 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. No other details were immediately available.
