HEMET, Calif. (KABC) -- A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck 4 miles north of Hemet at 7:38 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a preliminary USGS report. A second earthquake registering a magnitude of 2.9 struck at 8:30 p.m.

Eyewitness News received a number of calls to the newsroom and tweets from viewers who felt the shaking. Many came from Hemet, Riverside, Menifee, Sun City, Quail Valley and Beaumont.

Callers said the first temblor felt like a quick jolt. No damage was reported.
