Los Angeles River open to kayakers through Labor Day

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Sections of the Los Angeles River are open through Labor Day for kayakers looking to experience urban nature.

A group of nature lovers are inviting the public to spend time boating on the river at the Sepulveda Basin and Elysian Valley areas. They hope more time spent on the river will knock misconceptions about the place out of the water.
