Motorcyclist shot, killed in Wilmington area

WILMINGTON, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police in Wilmington were investigating the shooting death of a motorcyclist, authorities said Monday.

LAPD Harbor Division officers responded to a call of shots fired around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Gulf Avenue and D Street, according to police.

Police said the unidentified motorcyclist was shot and killed at the scene. Details on what led up to the shooting were not immediately clear.

Authorities from the LAPD said the investigation was ongoing.
