PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Pasadena police detectives are asking for the public's help to identify four possible suspects connected to the assault and robbery of an 87-year-old man.
Around 5 a.m. Friday, the Pasadena resident was on a morning walk when he was robbed near the Rose Bowl on West Drive, north of Salvia Canyon Road.
Pedestrians exercising in the area found the man lying on the ground and called 911. The man sustained major head trauma and remains in critical but stable condition at a local hospital. Detectives said the suspects took a pouch containing the man's personal identification.
Right after the robbery, the four suspects were recorded on video at a Pasadena gas station attempting to use the man's credit card. Authorities obtained the surveillance footage.

The car the suspects were in is described as a 2003 or 2004 Honda Accord coupe with a black sunroof.
