7 injured, including 2 deputies, in Pearblossom accident

PEARBLOSSOM, Calif. (KABC) -- Two deputies, two inmates and three civilians were injured in an accident in the High Desert community of Pearblossom Wednesday.

Authorities say a sheriff's vehicle collided with a Honda Civic on 126th Street East at Pearblossom Highway just before 4 p.m.

Two of the injured were rushed to a local hospital by air ambulance, while the other five were taken by ground ambulance.

The cause of the accident has not been determined. California Highway Patrol is investigating.
