SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Union Pacific train in Santa Clarita Friday morning.



The incident happened around 10:21 a.m. at Soledad Canyon Road and Rainbow Glen Drive. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.



Officials said Metrolink service between the Santa Clarita and Via Princessa stations was affected.
