LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to a suspect who murdered a father of four in South Los Angeles.

On Oct. 11, 2012, Paul James, 40, was walking on South Hoover Street, when a gunman in a hooded sweatshirt walked up and shot him several times.

"My brother Paul T. James was the victim of a violent, malicious homicide, but there are other victims: His four children, left without the love, protection and guidance of their father," said Joyce O'Quinn, James' sister.

Anyone with information is urged to call the LAPD tip line at (877) 527-3247.
