SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left a man and a woman dead in South Los Angeles on Tuesday night.



Authorities responded to the 4800 block of South Western Avenue just before 11 p.m. When officers arrived, they found two gunshot victims in a car.



Both victims had multiple gunshot wounds. The woman was declared dead at the scene. The man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died. The victims' names have not been released.



Police say a light-colored sedan drove by and opened fire. All the windows were shattered from the gunfire.



The suspect was last seen driving northbound on Western Avenue. A suspect description was not immediately available.



A motive has not been determined for the shooting. It was unclear if the shooting was believed to be gang related.
