Armored truck guard robbed outside Wells Fargo in Inglewood

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A man attacked an armored truck guard outside a Wells Fargo and may have made off with a bag of cash on Friday, Inglewood police said.

The robbery was reported shortly before 9 a.m. at Market Street and Hillcrest Boulevard. The suspect allegedly attacked the Brink's truck guard as he was taking money from the ATM machine, witnesses said.

Police said a shootout with a suspect occurred, but no one was struck. It was unclear if the suspect was shot.

Officers searched the area, but the suspect managed to escape.
