Ferry crashes in Vermont, several hurt

GRAND ISLE, Vt. A /*Vermont State Police*/ dispatcher confirmed the crash early Friday evening but said he has no further information.

State Rep. Mitzi Johnson says a few of the people injured - including the boat's captain - were being transported to a hospital in Burlington.

The boat was completing a 12-minute trip from Plattsburgh, N.Y. A message left with operator Lake Champlain Transportation was not immediately returned.
