Two days ago Antoine was killed by a suspected drunk driver. Monroe County sheriff deputies say a pickup driven by Scott Borkowski smashed into her car.
McCulley and Kosinski recalled the night Barbie's life was cut short and her husband's was changed forever. "We're still in shock. She was bartender that night, and he sat down there. She called, and he ordered a burger for her, and had it sitting there waiting for her. She was late, and he called her a couple of times. There was no answer," remembers Kosinki.
Court documents show, in February of 2007, Borkowski was convicted of driving while under the influence. In October 2008, he was cited again for OVI. Then in February of 2009, he was cited for driving a vehicle while his license was suspended. He was scheduled to face a judge next month.
Authorities believe Borkowski was drunk and speeding when he ran a red light on Smith Road and slammed into Barbie's black Pontiac.
Tonight she'll be remembered by the many who loved her.
