"Neighborhood Centers Inc. is deeply concerned about the allegations against an agency employee. We learned today that the employee has been charged with distribution of child pornography through use of computers located in his home.
Upon learning of the indictment, Neighborhood Centers Inc. immediately placed the employee on suspension. The agency has tight controls on internal computer usage, including searches, emails and communications. These controls immediately flag any inappropriate systems usage.The employee, Chris Pollet, is the Director of Planning, Research & Evaluation. In this position, Mr. Pollet had no direct interaction with clients of the agency.

Non-profit employee accused of distributing child porn
HOUSTON
A federal judge on Tuesday ordered that 62-year-old Christopher Clark Pollett be held in federal custody without bond pending his trial, according to a U.S. Department of Justice press release. The order came nearly two weeks after a Houston grand jury indicted Pollett on a charge of distribution of child pornography.
Pollett is accused of sharing pornographic images of children under the age of 12 through a peer-to-peer software over the Internet. During the investigation, detectives also seized more than 17,000 digital images, about 400 videos and binders and books containing pictures of naked minors.
Pollett was an employee of the non-profit organization Neighborhood Centers, dedicated to after-school programs and community development in southwest Houston. The company released a statement Tuesday evening:
