The twins, Nathan and Natalie Barbosa, were born healthy by C-section at 36 weeks of gestation at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater.
The mother has the rare condition of having two uteri- it affects about one in 2,000 women worldwide. But the chances of having a baby in each uterus simultaneously are almost unheard of.
The hospital estimates the odds at one in 5 million. There have only been about 100 known cases worldwide.
