DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (KABC) -- At least five people were hospitalized following a fiery two-vehicle crash on the northbound 57 Freeway in Diamond Bar early Sunday.
The collision occurred near Diamond Bar Boulevard shortly before 3:15 a.m. One car was engulfed in flames and at least one person was temporarily trapped.
It took firefighters nearly 30 minutes to extricate four of the five victims from the wreckage.
The cause of the collision remains unknown.
Police temporarily shut down part of the freeway to remove the charred debris, but all lanes have since reopened.
