The strongest storm of the season is moving out of Southern California on Friday.
The heaviest rain slammed into the region Thursday night into early Friday morning, triggering flash floods and mudslides across Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties, as well as the Inland Empire.
Friday will have scattered showers as the rain moves out of the area, leaving residents to clean up after the storm.
Evacuation warnings have been issued for burn scar areas in the Los Angeles area ahead of what's likely to be the biggest storm of the season.
The Los Angeles Fire Department announced that evacuation warnings will take effect at 7 a.m. Thursday through at least 2 p.m. Friday. LAFD has provided a map of the areas affected.
PCH is a muddy mess and remains shut down until further notice after heavy rain caused thick mud and debris to cover the major highway.
There were multiple mudslides in the area Thursday night, including along Big Rock Drive and at Las Flores Canyon. In some areas, mud swept out into all of the lanes.
In other areas, the rain caused burned branches and even trash cans to be pushed onto PCH.
The famed Duke's restaurant in Malibu, which was spared during the Palisades Fire, was inundated with mud during the storm.
As heavy rain doused Malibu Thursday night, thick mud and debris tumbled into the eatery's parking lot.
The entrance to the restaurant was caked in thick layers of mud, and hazard tape was seen roping off the beams of the store front. All this, not long after the iconic eatery escaped the Palisades Fire with minimal damage.
"There was definitely smoke chars, they were in the process of remediating the restaurant," said Malibu resident Chris Hanson. "They were taking care of business, and unfortunately now this has set them back."
Rain caused an 18-foot-deep sinkhole to open in Ontario, covering an entire intersection on Holt Boulevard.
The city says Holt Boulevard is closed near Sultana.
Crews were on scene Thursday night assessing the damage, but there is no word yet on how long it will take to make repairs and reopen the street.
Strong winds -- including a possible tornado -- tore the roofs off several structures Thursday afternoon at a mobile home park in Oxnard, the National Weather Service said.
The damage occurred at the Ocean-Aire Mobile Home Estates near the intersection of Oxnard Boulevard and Pleasant Valley Road.
No injuries were reported.
At least a dozen structures were damaged, including awnings and carports.
Power was temporarily knocked out at the mobile home park before being restored.
