Thousands expected at Wrightwood ski resort on holiday weekend

WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- It was certainly a white Christmas for local ski resorts on the busy holiday weekend, but skiers and snowboarders couldn't be happier to celebrate on the slopes.

Hundreds of people made their way to Mountain High Ski Resort in Wrightwood from all over Southern California.

It was a chilly day with temperatures in the high 20s and low 30s, but the sun did not stop shining down on holiday celebrators.

About 3,000 people were expected to show for some fun in the snow.
