SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 44-year-old man was killed after being struck by two cars in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning. One of the two motorists who hit the victim was arrested on DUI charges, police said.

The incident occurred at Vernon and Central avenues at about 12:15 a.m.

Police say the man was struck after stepping out onto Vernon Avenue from between two parked cars. The impact tossed the victim into the opposite westbound lane, where he was struck by another car.
