NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.

This year alone, there have been more than two dozen vehicle burglaries where criminals took the in-dash navigation systems from SUVs.

Police said one break-in this week happened while a victim was gone from her vehicle for just 20 minutes.

Authorities advise SUV owners to park in areas that are highly visible and well-lit, especially at night.
