L.A. streets to be more bike-friendly

LOS ANGELES The L.A. departments of planning and transportation say a plan for a network of bikeways throughout the city will be complete by next June.

The plan includes connecting systems of bike paths and adding more storage lockers. Workshops will also be held to get public input.

The California Bicycle Coalition estimates there are about 25 percent more cyclists in L.A. than a year ago.
