Governor in Burbank for budget update

In Placerville on Wednesday, Governor Schwarzenegger urged Californians to contact their lawmakers to tell them to pass a budget.

Last month, he put a compromise on the table that he said addresses the $15.2 billion dollar shortfall.

If a budget is not passed this month, the state will owe $12 billion to government service providers, but will not legally be able to pay them until there's a budget in place.
