Huge Star Trek exhibit may come to Riverside

RIVERSIDE, Calif. Tuesday, the city council will vote on funding for the exhibit at the downtown museum. Officials are asking for $75,000 to stage the exhibit.

"/*Star Trek the Exhibition: Where Science Meets Science Fiction*/" would include props, costumes, memorabilia from the five TV series and 11 films.

The museum is planning for the exhibit to run from June 15 through February 2011.

Officials predict it would draw 40,000 visitors and take in $800,000.

The city council votes on the funding Tuesday.
