The officer wrestled 42-year-old Ramon Solis to the ground in order to stop the attack, police said. As the officer tried to control the suspect, 18-year-old Sandra Solis jumped on top of the officer, police said.
The officer struggled with both suspects until other responding /*Ventura*/ police officers arrived to assist.
The injured officer was taken to a local hospital and later released. The two suspects were also taken to the hospital for moderate injuries. They were later released and booked on felony charges at Ventura County Jail.
