The driver apparently then stopped, opened her door and saw the victims, but then sped off.
A Good Samaritan followed the motorist and called police, who caught up with the hit-and-run suspect about a mile from the accident.
The victims, both from Valencia, were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Their names and conditions were unavailable but officials said their injuries were not life-threatening.
