WEST COVINA, Calif.

The fire broke out shortly after 5 a.m. at a building that belongs to the Union Evangelical Church on North Lark Ellen Avenue. It took firefighters about an hour to bring it under control.

No one was injured in the fire. The church does not use the building for services.

The pastor of the church says the cause may be electrical, but the incident remains under investigation.
